Howdy all! I am new to meat smoking and have no idea what I'm doing. I just saw my first chapter come thru on email. Can't wait to start reading it. I am an 8th grade shop teacher by day and a machine shop teacher at the local community college by night. I deer hunt and being 15 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, I fish a lot when it's not hunting season. I got my 2nd and 3rd deer this past weekend and am looking for something a little different than just cutting them up into steaks and hamburger. I have no curing equipment but have a buddy with a dehydrater who will trade the loan of it for some fresh venison. I am interested in making a smoker, maybe someone has ideas or plans for that.
