Howdy! New member here.

Came across SMF lately and it seems like a wealth of information along my lines of interest. I've been an avid smoking and outdoor cooking enthusiast for the better part of 50 years. Looking forward to taking my hobby to the next level via SMF. No lack of things to smoke here, with several tons of beef alone just a couple hundred yards from the back door out in the pastures. Plus more game than I can shake a stick at right on our property (like take them off the deck, kind of close).

Over the years I seem to go through phases...smoking, grilling, dutch oven, jerky and on and on. In any case I'm an all-weather outdoor cook, no season is exempt. About the only thing which will give me pause is hard sleet, but other than that rain, snow, sun, hot or cold is no bother.

I look forward to learning many things from the clearly well-informed members here.

Thanks

Edit...Oops, looks like I put this in the wrong forum. I guess I should have put it in 'Roll Call'. Sorry 'bout that!
