I'm an ArkaTexan or TexArkansan -however you'd like to say it. Texas Born, Arkansas Grown, and back in Texas now (with a little bit of Louisianan too). Hillbilly in accent and at heart, exiled to the cement jungle of DFW.
I am brand new to the smoking world, recently acquired a Weber Smokey Mountain smoker at no price, and I've parked it at my folks' place in Arkansas, since I cannot make a good use of it at my apartment in Plano. I tried my first hand at smoking this past Saturday and attempted a smoked brisket. I thought for sure I'd foul it up, but I did okay. I'll share more about that in a different post.
