How to modified smoke box ?

Hi, I want to Modify my pellet tube and use just an after market smoker tube. What do I remove and what stays? Thanks , Pic would be great. It's a model number 20070411.

Do you mean modify your pellet smoker? Brand not mentioned, what is the model, MES maybe?
 
Looks like a MES part # to me. Lotsa folks just throw the after market smoke tube inside the unit and pull the chip tube out a little for airflow, but I'm assuming that's what you're talking about.

Yes, Sorry forgot to mention it is a MES model 20070411 30 inch smoker. I have always had trouble with this kind of pellet tray, at low temps won't smoke or pellets not getting hot enough,
 
And where are you located Bundy as altitude may be an issue

Have you put in the bottom rack and put the maze tray over the chip burner in the right rear corner? All Mes have lots of rising air from the element in that corner you can see through the window when the inside is a white cloud of smoke from too many chips.
 
Might consider doing a mailbox modification. Allows you to tend to the pellets without opening the smoker. Lots of threads on this subject.
