Mine is only 33 1/2" tall. I can only get one rack in mine and maintain the 24" minimum. Do I have a smaller drum than most?
 
That is pretty standard. From what I have learned you will need to use the Weber lid trick to add another rack. or have two racks with not much room but I hear you do not want to impeed air flow either. My drum is 34" tall as well.
 
haha, i clicked that link looking for more info and it turns out it was my thread.
 
I just learned that the minimum height of 24" is from the grate not the top of the basket...Now I can add another rack! You can learn something new everyday. Thanks Suprfast for the link that's where I found the info and to DDave for clarifying!
 
The measurement should be taken from the bottom of the charcoal grate. If you have 3" legs the first grate should be 27" from the bottom of the drum.
