I cheated this year, I got a smoked ham from the butcher. I thought about smoking one myself this year, but wasn't sure if I was going to have the time off. I will be getting up early tomorrow though, got a 7 lb pork butt from sam's for $9 yesterday, so at least I can say I smoked something this weekend.

1.5 hours into a 260 degree brisket smoke here on the gosm. I also put on a pan full of bacon on a lower rack just to see what happens.

So far it's a nice cool drizzly day here in Austin TX

Started cooking several butts Friday evening, and pulled them off about 5:00 Sat morning, loaded the smoker with BB ribs at 6:00 am and served at 1:00 pm. 20 adults and 30 kids. I slept well last night! Also did some sausages for apps.
