Hot off the pit, or cold/room temp?

Wife and i are having a " discussion " lol.

Ive never made them before, and im making some for a get together tomorrow.

I say hot off the pit, while she says cold.

So. I figured theres only one place to go and ask.. SMF..

Cold....   refer cold....   like a cold side dish of salad....

Hot off the smoker, right in the pan they were smoked in.

I serve them hot,but will eat them cold later.

So far, I'd say about 1/2 the advice you've received is spot-on!!

Lol. Its 50/50. So far. There made and on ice. If i have time i may heat em up, or let them come close to room temp.

I'll let everyone know what method won.

LOL...My In-Laws were born and raised in the Boston area. This hot cold thing was unheard of to me until I met my wife and went to family gatherings. I thought they were NUTS! They served BOTH WAYS so the 7 kids and families could choose their fav. Cold Bean Sandwiches with Mustard was my MIL favorite way to eat leftovers...JJ

BOTH  - hot off the grill for the first meal.  And then, if there are any leftovers, refrigerator cold.  Nothing better than cold baked beans - yum

Everyone here will eat smoked baked beans at

any temp. they love them hot or cold.
