Smoked a couple turkeys today. It's was 34-degrees with some wind. I went through a ton of wood and had to keep a HUGE pile of coals and several pieces of wood burning at all times just to keep 275 in the cooking chamber.

I'm guessing that's the limit for weather and smoking with my smoker. What say you?

36 right now but I don’t mind

Throwing a welding blanket over the cook chamber will buy you a bit by limiting heat loss, to some degree. I use one on the Camp Chef in winter. It'll pretty much hold temps in cold, but the blanket saves fuel.

Was 19 when I started the Mammoth this morning with 15mph wind. Thank goodness the cooker is made with double walls. Ran like a champ and pellet consumption was about normal. Currently we are 25

I blanketed the Pit Boss before I started my pulled ham this morning. It was 19°f when I started. Still had to run the pitboss at 250°f to maintain a 200-225°F chamber temp.

It was 24 degrees this am when I fired the smoker (RT 1250) up…. I have run it near zero no probs…..the lowest temp i’ve smoked was minus 28…..with my old double wall Memphis….that burned a few pellets…..

I don't think I have ever heard of a "pulled Ham", tell me more.
