Damn Smokey I seriously feel for you guys, and heart attack snow no less. That's just freaky! I'm not going to complain about 9 or ten inches here and there anymore. The most we have had since I lived here was 20 inches in 24hrs.

This was yesterday's radar that's about 40 miles wide at the widest. Usually they move north and south through out the event. This one just parked itself where you see it and dropped 3-5 inches an hour. Some places got 70+ins. All well populated areas. As I mentioned this is supposed to happen tomorrow too.

Smokey,

I've been following that on the news----Unbelievable!!  Even for Buffalo!!!

My Sister lived in Rochester, and they used to get more snow than we get, but Buffalo always got hit the hardest. Not sure but if my memory serves---Something like 17' to 20' in a year???

Well anyway---My Sister & her husband moved to NC after their kids all graduated, and they won't even visit us in PA during the Winter months!!!

Hang in their Buddy---The National Guard is on the way!!

BTW: The most I can remember we got in one shot was 32", and that was a PITA !!!

A friend outside of Buffalo told me he had to use buckets of hot water to dunk his chickens in because the eggs was froze to the hens before they could drop and it was causing 'em to back up. Said one hen after being in the hot water laid 3 eggs in rapid sucession. Just like those Army grenade launchers.

And 14 people were injured with Egg Shell Shrapnel ???

Hey Bear, if we got 32" here in East Texas the whole area would shut down. EMS would be backed up trying to rescue and help all the rednecks that think they can drive in that stuff,, We get a little ice and snow and wrecks everywhere.

They came on the news tonight asking everyone to cook a pot of gumbo and bring to the station. They are going to add it all together and fly it over Buffalo and do a hot gumbo drop. There are people with beer and no gumbo during the storm!

OK...don't hate me but I threw in a one pound Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage all by itself in the smoker and it's going right now.  It's a bone chilling 64* here and drizzling.  Gotta love South Texas.  I will have to mow the yard before Christmas.

Hey Smokey
You guys are getting hit REAL bad--believe me I feel for you. All I can say is stay safe
We got rain all night and it's 3 above right now. I went out to start the truck and could hardly stand up. Logs are going to have for at least a few hours--no money in being wrapped around a tree
