chix were only $2.99 ea, got 14 but 1 didn't make it.
feed is $11.99 for 40lbs so far we are at 16 bags for 11 months. Don't know about water and we don't heat or use cooling.

Pretty good return on investment (ROI)
The what $3k you spent on the coop will spread out for 20 years.
10 of 14 in this time of the year isn't bad. Still more than you can eat.
