Hofbrauhaus, great place!

Anyone ever been the the Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas or Cincinnati? I have been to both and was at the one in Cincy over the weekend before the Browns Bengals game and it was great. They brew their own beer there and the wheat was probably the best I've ever had. Great German sausages there also. You order beers by the liter, so be ready to drink!

When I was 22, many years ago, I went to the original in Munich, if we are talking about the same place. I remember a bunch of drunk tourists (myself included) knocking back HUGE beers, singing "Country Roads" by john denver, and eating sausage. Man, those were the days.

To make it better (or worse), I remember cruising through a city park in Munich and seeing a bunch of naked people. Evidently, there is a fairly large nudist colony right in the middle of Munich and I wondered right into the middle of it. Like I said, for better or worse. Not all naked is good naked, but some is great!

I like them alot.
There are better places, but these are everywere and easy to find.
been to Munich's,and Chicagos. My brother said that they are building 1 in PIttsburgh. I don't have 1 where I live but we sell there beer. I don't like there Oktoberfest beer as much as some of the other Munich Origionals. It is a modern blond style. gives me heartburn.

Country Roads! Thats funny. John D must be pretty big in Europe. I was in Manchester England a few years ago for a Man U football game and the whole stadium was singing Country Roads. Pretty funny singing that with 80,000 drunk englishmen.

I thought there were only 2 in the US? From what their website says the one in Cincy opened in 2003 and Las Vegas in 2004.

rotfl. It really is true. They do say that 99.9% of all man-u fans don't even live in the country.
Over here man-u are sort of like the yankees - you just love to hate them :-)
Grew up in germany - now if you want Beer - go to belgium :-)

I have been to the one in Newport several times. They have good food and on a Friday or Saturday night things can get pretty interesting in the beer hall section and the outdoor pavillion. If you catch the right crowd and employee's often they will recite some of the old German Beer drinking songs or chants where people get pretty wild, including some standing on the chairs and tables. A couple years ago we had a christmas party there and they had a beer called the adulterator.......from what I can remember that was a good night very strong and very tasty. I think I still owe a few people and apology for that evening

Thats kinda what I figgured out while I was there. Seemed like a lot of Manchester City fans. I dont follow it at all my friend just needed someone to go and drink beer with him over there. Lots of great pubs in Manchester, great beer too.

The adulterator is like 8%! I think you can only get it in half liters, probably a good idea.
