Hello I have always enjoyed BBQ and now that I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker I hope to be able to stop roaming from bbq joint to bbq joint and spend more time at home.

Welcome aboard Amanda, lots of good info and people around here to help you achieve your goal.

Hi Amanda and Welcome!
OK, you got the oven, now you need a Mailbox Mod, or a way to reliably generate the smoke.
If you want to cook at 225-275, fine. But lower and these ovens don't make smoke so good.
So folks take other steps.
The easiest is simply an AMNPS, or Tube pellet burner. Some put the device in the oven. Others run it outside the box and pipe it in so the smoke is independent of the smoker/oven.
OK, let's get cookin!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a partly sunny and warm day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
