Been lurking for several days and decided to join. Lots of great info here. After much research decided I would like to get an electric smoker just not sure yet which one. My price range has me looking at MES and Bradley. I have a little experience with an electric that I helped my Dad build and my Brother-in-law’s Bradley.
Looking forward to getting my own unit and trying some of the tips and recipes here.

Have the MES, 40 inch, OLDER MODEL with glass door and controls on the backside of the top. 4 years now, love it. The wisdom from this forum steered me to the older model and I'm convinced. For smoke, forget the chip tray that comes with it, and burn pellets in an AMNPS tray. Works well with the electric power, in that you can easily get 8 or so hours of smoke while you sleep! Butts, turkeys, brisket will take that kind of time anyway.

There's an awful lot of wisdom on this forum to take advantage of. Good luck.

I have an MES40, the older/more reliable model (glass in the door, control at top rear) that's available. I upgraded to an Auber 1510 PID for better temp control, which is very good. Some spare grills in it etc. This served me for a good 5-7 years, til I got the charcoal bug and replaced it with a Kamado Joe. With the controller, I would be asking a little less than a new comparable MES40. Interested, [email protected] or 314-609-2268. Hope this promotion is within the rules of the forum, it's been a huge resource for me.
