Hi all!

New to the forum but some smoking experience with my Primo XL. I'm originally from New Jersey but moved to Oregon coming on 25 years ago. I've been toying with the idea of getting an electric smoker to allow low temp/cold smoking and for a little bit more convenience. I've been doing some research on different options. Curious about the Pro Smoker Classic 100S. Looks like it can run temps from 80-300F which seems pretty cool but there's not a lot out there in terms of user experience or professional reviews. Also hoping to up my smoking game in general!

Another welcome from Iowa

Welcome to SMF from Colorado, you have arrived!

Have you tried adding a smoker tube or tray to the bottom of your Primo for cold smoking? No charcoal. A tray full of pellet dust works great for cold smoking cheese, bacon etc

You know I hadn't considered that, although it seems obvious now that I'm reading it. It doesn't scratch the itch for a new toy, but makes much more economic sense!
