Hey folks,
I am a new member as of about 5 minutes ago. I have been on the website/forum only a few times but wanted to join nevertheless! IF it isn't too soon to ask a question, does anyone have a suggestion for a well-made, dependable, long-lasting digital meat thermometer?

Smoking:
I have recently acquired a Masterbuilt 30 inch electric smoker. I've only used it 4 or 5 times thus far but so far so good! (With the notable exception of some beef jerky that didn't work out at all and some chicken I did yesterday where I forgot to add liquid to the pan! I will say that last weekend I did some spare ribs that were outstanding!)

Grilling: I am on my second Char Broil "infrared" grill. My apologies if using a gas grill makes me an outcast here - but I have had great success with mine. Having said that, my next grill will very likely be some type of pellet grill. (Traeger, Pit Boss, etc. I'd be happy to entertain suggestions!)

Welcome to the site, both my therms just crapped out on me tonight so I in the market also.

Chris

Didnt see the term question. I have had my Thermopro TP08 for about 5 years and it has never failed me. Not bad for a $45 therm. Once I get the wife on board I am going to invest in the Fireboard.

Welcome to the forum. Second on the ThermoproTP08. Lots of bang for the buck. And lots of us here have gassers, sometimes it's the right tool for the job.

Welcome to the forum. I use a ThermoWorks "Smoke" thermometer and like it very much. Also, there customer service is excellent. Just browse through the forum and you will get more than enough good information to make a decision no matter what brand you choose.

Welcome to SMF!
As said above I have several therms & end up using the Thermoworks Smoke most of the time.
It's a great therm, from a great company.
You might also want to add one of their instant read therms to your list.
