Should be here in a week so I'll have more to report then.  Funny that Lowes and Home Depot no longer have too much in the way of smokers at their store...plenty of grills, though.

I've haven't smoked for a while, but when I did, I used my grill.  I did a few turkeys for thanksgiving, a boston butt, and a few racks of ribs.  The results weren't too bad, but it was a bit of a pain.  I'm hoping the MES lets me be lazy AND enjoy a good BBQ.

I was fortunate to have been working near a great BBQ joint named Baby Blues BBQ in university city (where Penn and Drexel have their campus').  Great food but the job's going to end soon so I figured I'd better get a smoker so I can start making BBQ myself.

I'm already a homebrewer, so this new hobby will give the wife another reason to pull her hair out on the weekends!

Hello to you all, I'll probably go into lurk mode for a bit till I get up to speed so don't be suprised if you don't here from me for a awhile.

Mike
