Hello my name is Scott I'm 27 years old, and I live in Martinsville, VA.  Little about myself is that I love to fish, ride motorcycles, anything outdoors, and of course smoke my meat.  I've been doing it pretty steady for a few years, usually more of a Carolina style as some of my family is from Lexington, NC.  So its they style I've grown up around.  Looking to increase my knowledge, and perfect my craft.  I've been a lurker for a while now so I felt I would jump on in.  I'm actually going to do my first competition this April, which it seems more less a fund raiser, but a chance to try to win a little money and gain experience.  I'm hoping to do a KCBS competition in the next year or two.  I'll be building one of my smokers in the next two weeks.  It has to be gas, usuing chunks or chips.  So I may be chiming in for some input, as I've always used wood only smokers.  Thanks for allowing me to join and learn from some seasoned veterans.
