Hey guys my name is Phil and I'm from Pennsylvania. I am new to here and smoking. That's how I found this site. I have a masterbuilt 34" propane smoker. I have read here about some mods. Already got my rope gasket to seal the door better and I am thinking of eliminating the junk woodchip tray and putting my chips in the water tray and lowering it closer to the burner then getting a cake pan and mounting legs on it to fit the water pan rack so I don't have to use a smoking rack to set a water pan Boniface this works I will try to post pics. Will be glad to hear from you guys as I will definitely have lots of questions. Thanks

First off Welcome Phil to SMF. You'll like it here for there are alot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.
