Sir, don’t feel bad or let your pride be hurt. We are all here to learn and support each other. I think it’s awesome that you’re getting on this horse, it is never fun being uncomfortable.

Please don’t take this as an insult if you already understand, if I understand right your biggest difficulty is navigating the forum to find what you are looking for? @pineywoods offered his help through a PM in the message before this one, that is a “Private Message” at the very top of the screen you should see a picture of an envelop, if you click on that it’ll offer to “start a new conversation” You then click on that and in the “Recipients” box type in pineywoods and his name will pop up. Click on that, type your title in the title box, then type your message.

Feel free toPrivate Message me too if you have questions on how to get around. I can give you my phone number that way and help talk you through some things…as long as I understand them too!
God Bless Sir! Hang in there!
Well thank you very much! Everything passed on to me helps. I'm taking lots of notes and trying to keep them organized.

We all can use some help in this world with many things. Heck most of us are here looking for help and information on Smoking BBQ :)

Don't ever feel worried or upset about asking a question around me and most of the guys here. Not everyone is a whiz with computers and technology so it's understandable.

Hell I'm horrible with any number of things and don't understand them or know how to use them and need assistance. Then again, I'm a whiz at a lot of other things.

I imagine you and many others here are the same :) I hop this helps you out some! :)
tallbm--I've seen so many of your comments that I feel I know you. You have a style that is so open and friendly and non-judgemental, very impressive to me. On rare occasion I have seen comments made to you that I considered inflammatory, bordering rude, that had I been you, I would have been tempted to run up the battle flag! But no, you wisely turned a deaf ear and thereby gained a more lofty status. That's impressive. As you noted above, I among others have deficient areas, but also there are things where I excell--that shows your humanity and understanding. I like that a lot.

Tallbm, I have read so many of your posts that I feel as though I know you. You have a friendly, open style that is very non-judgemental. That's impressive. On occasion I have seen replies to you that were inflammatory if not rude. Had I been you, I would have been sorely tempted to run up the battle flag! But no, you turned a deaf ear and replied with even temperament, great form and substance. Now that's impressive too and gained you high status in the eyes of discerning observers.

As in your comments above, I too among others have my share of lesser abilities while in other fields I excel to one degree or another, Those statements show your humanity and understanding. I like that.

I appreciate your tips and have made appropriate bookmarks and reminders. Thanks for your insight and all your other aid to SMF.

Thanks Bear! I've seen you step in and help so many.

Thanks Denny--I try!
One guy told me to Mind my own business, so I'll not be helping him.
So I'll have more time for the other 99.9%, like you.
Just yell---If I don't know the answer, I'll probably know who does.

Bear

I'm glad my info has helped and I appreciate the the kind words on my behavior :)

Text is so hard for us to convey our emotion and intent through so I am always very mindful of something being said one way and being heard a different way.
I've been around the block with online communication enough to try and keep my communication as objective as possible and I've learned that if there is ever any problems to just go and msg someone directly. Often times it's a misunderstanding. When it is actually a problem or rude/poor behavior then the conversation can be made directly with the person but often the best approach online is to just put them on ignore and go on with life haha :)

Reach out anytime you have a question and I'll do what I can to answer it well and be as helpful as possible. So many here are like this and it's what makes this community one of the best online communities I have ever seen! :)
