i've been doing some research on precooked hams and everything that i've seen is a larger ham. i've watched jeff's video on smoking a precoooked ham and i was larger than what will be going on this week end. my question is...

will 5 hours be to much for a 4.5 lbs precooked ham?

cook to temp i use 180 185 and spray with a dr pepper and brown sugar mixture about every 30 min to keep moist go by temp not time

I will second that ! Best thing I ever did was buy a digital meat thermometer, cook to the precise internal temp. and everything will turn out great

If it was smaller than the one in Jeff's video then i wouldn't go the full 3 hours, I would shoot more for 2-2 1/2 but if you stick a probe in it then go ahead and pull at 140-150 and it will be incredibly moist.

I want to try a ham myself. Seems pretty straight forward -- but I'd like to see Jeff's video too. Where can I find that?

Thanks!
