Location
Sandusky, OH
Got bumped on way back to Ohio and need some cue suggestions. Gonna rent a car so a little travel is doable. Any other ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Only advise I can say is.... don’t go back to Ohio 😂. If you go back through Kentucky, which I’d imagine you would. Sonnys BBQ has a few locations there and is pretty good

Aaron Franklin's in Austin would only be a couple of hours away and is high on my list of "gotta try" BBQ joints, but the wait is insane from what I hear.

Franklins is now an official tourist trap, and there are more than a few places to buy as good or better Q these days.
The wife and I hit SmokeyMoes yesterday and the wait time was 0.0 seconds and the brisket and sausage were better than Aaron's.
But if you want to wait 6 hours in line for good Q (but not the best anymore) go right ahead.

Pinkerton's, Killen's, Pappas just to start. There are plenty in the Houston area. It's all good...

If you are heading across I20 and get past Shreveport stop in at Hot Rods on Farmerville in Ruston Louisiana. You won’t regret it. Trust me

Regardless, Franklin's is still high on my list of "must have" BBQ one day.....
