Newbie to the forum and new to the smoking game and I told her I wanted one for my birthday this year ( which is next month). So I am from upstate NY near lake placid originally and lived in Dallas for 10 years but now back close to home in VT.

I dont have a smoker yet and really torn between propane/charcoal one they have at home depot but the convenience and cost of an electric one has me intrigued esp when I take it camping  and it could run all day on my propane or their electricity so I suppose I need ot research it more to answer the age old question of what is betsfor me and my needs.

Thanks  Don

so it looks like i have found the one that will suit me just fine for now as i dont wanna have the best bbq in the world just want to have better meat than what you can get off the stove or out of the oven.

the one i want has pretty good reviews and has a few things that need to be worked on but then it seems to be a good little smoker for the money and for a novice like me i can maybe thunk bigger and better as some point in the future

here it is an on sale now as well so thats a plus.. if this link it not allowed please delete and i will just add the make/model without the link thanks
