Hello, my name is Tom, pttomk is my username.  I have been smoking for about 6 months now and am enjoying it immensely. We purchased a Traeger, Jr last summer. We live in Michigan and even though we have had some winter weather with snow and rain, we continue to smoke and grill at least one time per week. We smoked a turkey for Thanksgiving and salmon for our Christmas Day party. I happen to be off on medical leave so I get to experiment with various recipes during the day. My wife loves the fact that when she gets home from work, I have dinner waiting for her. Looking forward to learning more tips and secrets to smoking from you.

:welcome1: , Tom . Good to meet you. I am in a similar boat being semi retired. ( not medically , just gettin old) but I love to cook for the bride and she enjoys the leisure.
Personally , my smoker is a weber charcoal job , but there's a ton of folks on here who use the traeger....and the bbq knowledge in general is unbelievable.
