Hello everyone,
My name is Rick and I live in Minnesota. I'm happily married to the love of my life Amy. I'm 34 years old and I am a heavy duty truck and trailer mechanic for 15 years. Over the last several years I've been looking into smokers and hearing about other peoples experiences with smoking .My brother bought a 40'' Masterbuilt smoker about a year and a half ago and Ive been sooo jealous ever since. The first time he smoked it was 6 whole chickens!!! He had the whole family over and then some. It was awesome!!!!!!! Hes smoked several briskets and pork butts since. Now like I said I've been wanting one and have been talking about to family. Turns out this Christmas I got a 30" Masterbuilt smoker!!!!! I was soooooo excited. The next weekend I went out and bought a 7 lbs pork butt and 5 lbs chuck roast. I found a brine online and soaked the pork butt in the brine overnight. I smoked them for about 10 hours and they turned out very good. the chuck roast was a little dry but still good. and today I just smoked 6 Rock Cornish game hens wrapped in bacon. I found the recipe on this very site from a google search. I cant begin to tell you how good they were. Anyway, that's about it for now. I look forward to getting more recipes and learn techniques from everyone on this site.
