Hello I am Okie living in Massachusetts

Hello SMF family. I am a total newb to smoking but I am really enjoying. I am from Oklahoma but now live outside of Boston. Needless to say there is not much BBQ or college football up this way, so I started "smoking BBQ" this year and I am hooked. Every Saturday I can be home with the family and still do something I enjoy and relax.
I am actually joining this board to get help with what kind of Pellet Smoker I should get and any other tips I can find. From what I can tell Rec Tec is the best but man it is pricey. Everyone I know says Traeger but it seems they are missing some helpful features. Then the others I have been considering is Green Mountain, Grilla, and Camp Chef. Any input for this rookie?

Good luck searching through the vast amounts of info here about pellet grills.. something to do till you spot a great bargain.

Howdy DeRail and welcome.You might find the fervor rather eccentric on here like that cat Rings above.Heck some people even post pictures of their dog with smoking accoutrements.Anyway,you should find it very educational and amusing at times.
