I live in the Ohio river valley in the upper northern panhandle of WV. I am a dad and I think I am 40 something years old and I work in a small integrated steel mill.
For Christmas my inlaws gave me a Masterbuilt electric smoker. I am hooked !
I preseasoned it to instructions using a mixture of apple/cherry. I believe I like the fruitwoods best. (well the wife likes the lighter smoked flavor, so I do too)
To date I have smoked;
3- ~3.5 lb boneless pork loins- all within a ten day period- all turned out awesome
bacon wrapped water chestnuts- new years eve party 50 of them were gone in ~ 5min
A 7.5 lbs chicken, the kids were fighting over cleaning the carcass it was so good
My next conquest will be a standing ribroast
Being a very first timer I was over whelmed by my google searches for "smoker" searches and how much is out on the web about the subject.
One thing was common I was always using the info from this website. Thanks for all the sharing, I hope I can be a good contibutor.
