Name is Ted. Born and raised in the Northwest. I have only ever really smoked fish, as that is what I do, it is my passion, and why I chose smoked chrome as a name. Smoked chrome bright Salmon or Steelhead is, for me, the best thing on the planet. However, I am tired of the small smokers that I have and the inconsistent smoke of each batch. I was raised in a family that had converted old metal fridges into smokers and we smoked, well everything that once lived and it was mouth watering good. My absolute favorite fish to smoke is Kokanee.

I have in mind to build a tall smoke house that I can hang my fish in. I believe that this will make my fish drastically better. I have a ton of left over 5/8 inch sub-flooring plywood that I was hoping to use. From what I have gathered is that this will work as it is not a finished plywood. I plan to run a dual electric burner as I will also like to use this for cold smoking as well. For right now this is a very tight budget build as I am a single dad of two teenage boys that play club sports year round. I live in a neighborhood that has an HOA and is a complete pain the backside. My plan is to put this on casters so that I can roll it into the garage when I am done with it. Otherwise I will need to submit building plans for any structure that sticks above my fence.

Plan to scavenge this site for info and what to do and how to do it. Will take any and all advise.

Thanks Gentleman. Will be reading up on that thread today Al. Appreciate the heads up.
