I have been increasingly interested in smoking different meats and experimenting with different techniques in the past 6 months or so. I see this as almost an art instead of a hobby. I purchased a Masterbuilt 30" electric cooker a few months back and a traditional New Braunfels smoker last month which isn't all that great. I will be upgrading to a Lyfe Tyme smoker within the next few months hopefully. I look forward to absorbing as much as possible and someday being able to contribute to new guys like myself!

Howdy TexasSmoker89.  Seems like you've got quite a bit of equipment to experiment with.  Good thing there's lots of space down your way!  No matter what you settle on, there will be someone with your equipment to help answer any questions you have so you can turn out perfect meat.  The learning curve is pretty fast so you'll be an expert in no time helping out the new folks.  Welcome to the Family!

Welcome to the forums from California... And yes you are right, it is basically an art form. Have fun with it and experiment different things.

Good to have you here, lots of great people willing to share. Welcome to SMF
