Foristell Missouri
Hi All,

My name is Tim, I live about 40 miles west of St. Louis, out in the country close to a small town called Foristell.  About three years ago I bought a smoked turkey from a local bbq shop for our family Thanksgiving dinner.  What a dissappointment that was!  I've been smoking my own meat ever since!  I started with a Bubba Oven, it's a gas grill style smoker with a great water pan and wood box.  Love that smoker but on windy cold days it's a challenge to maintain a consistant temp.  My father bought me an electric smoke house a few weeks ago as a gift.  Still trying to figure out if it's better or???  I have some issues with it but I'm learning!

I have a great family, five kids total and a beautiful wife who I'm not sure why she married me...

Hello from sunny Florida. I've used vertical smokers and big commercial type rigs but I've been using an off set barrel type which I like but I'm looking to try electric or gas type. I have no clue. Please give me some feedback from some of you that have both and give me a little insight and advice. I'm also a new member and smoke and grill as much as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read this and look forward for some responses. Seminolesmoker in Tallahassee.
