Hello I'm Mitchell from Simi Valley California,

I just picked up my first smoker this past weekend.I found this on a Craigslist ad,and went and picked it up for $80 not bad for being used a couple times still in great condition. The owner of this just wanted to get rid of so he could buy his PINK PIG.I just installed two new Smokey MTN Thermometers.I can't wait to get myself into the smoke and cook something delicious.

I just bought these 5 pieces of metal, and had them cut to fit my SNP for the tuning heat plates.Should I punch/drill holes into these for better air / smoke circulation? I have seen everyone's modification and they are all different. This is for my Brinkman SNP. I just purchased the Maverick ET-733 Dual Probe this weekend for $39 with free shipping can't wait to recieve it this week.

I would suggest playing around with what you have, perhaps remove one or two and play around with there position to see if you can get the heat distributed how you want. Once you drill holes in them you'd have to buy new plates if it didn't work out. So that is why I suggest try it without first and see how it goes.
