Well, not exactly San Francisco, but close enough.  Unlike SF, I have plenty of parking and  sunny backyard made for smoking.  I use Chargriller half barrel, with a side smoke box -- though I tend to use charcoal and chunks of wood for the smoke.  Not a lot of options for sticks in my area.

I also have a Weber 22" grill for grilling.

My major break through was when I decided I'd be better off with wireless thermometer than my guessing.  The dual maverick is fantastic and have helped me nail many a dish (that's what she said)  I'd like to move up to a real smoker, but I'm not sure I really have the space for one the way the yard is set up.

I've lurked for a while. now I'm here.
