Hi There

I hope you are well. Greetings from Pearl River, NY. I live about 25 miles north of New York City. I love to cook and recently have had a lot of fun entertaining neighbors etc at my house. I want to be the guy who randomly smokes a 15 pound turkey on a Saturday and invites everyone over. I do not have a smoker yet, but am currently doing my research. I will most likely get an electric one since I like the idea of putting something in at night and letting it go low and slow all night long.

I am 38, married and have two kids. My daughter is 3 and my son is 6.

Welcome fellow New Yorker!!   There are plenty of opinions on what you can use as your smoker of choice.  Electric is very easy, no doubt.  But I'm sure you will get lots of opinions on charcoal smokers (like the Weber Smokey Mountain) that do just fine on overnight smokes.
