Just introducing myself. Just bought a smoker, and here to learn as much as I can. I bought a starter (Char Broil) but once I figure out what the hell I'm doing, I'll upgrade. I've learned alot so far just browsing the forums...so thanks to everyone for posting your knowledge.

Is Palmer Lake just north of the Springs?  Near Monument?  Used to go to Palmer lake as a kid to swim, fish and ride the paddle boats.  More years ago than I care to admit.
