Hello from Orono Maine

Greetings all SMF members!  I live in Orono, ME and got my first smoker as an early Christmas present about 6 weeks ago.  It is a MES 40" 2nd generation that I got at Cabela's when they were running a special.  I viewed many posts on this forum before deciding on what smoker to get.

I really like the smoker and have been smoking every weekend.  I have smoked pork butt, beef brisket, chicken and even tried a turkey at Thanksgiving and all have turned out great.  I am trying some baby back ribs for the first time today.  So far the cold temperatures have not been an issue but will have to see what happens once the snow arrives.

I am glad I finally decided to join and thanks again for the advice.

Welcome !! We got two inches of snow last night 50 degrees today calling for 65* on tues. taking advantage of the weather this weekend. Strip steaks on the grill tonight, stuffed pork loin in the smoker tomorrow.
