Hello from Ohio

I guess its time I introduced myself. I've been lurking here for about a month and have learned a lot. Thanks to all for the great info. I got a GOSM for fathers day and it's been kind of addicting ever since. I've got a couple of butt's, a chicken, some ribs, salmon, and a brisket, and a corned beef under my belt so far. Still learning but that's half the fun. Just ordered a Maverick dual probe termo (ET-7 I think) hope it works better than the Oregon Scientific I had and the Wally world cheapy I bought to replace it. Any way I live close to the small town of Celina. I'm married with 4 girls and am a big race fan (Nascar, drags, dirt)

They like some of it. The youngest 2 (ages 3 & 4) will try about anything as long as you tell them it is chicken. The older 2 (7 & 10) no longer fall for that, but they aren't as picky most of the time.
