Hello from MN- major newbie

Hi guys, what a great forum you have here! I started joining forums for a few things about a year ago and love the information you all share. My wife got me a much wanted Electric Smoker (40" masterbuilt) for Christmas last year. I also want a charcoal smoker.. Anyway I have done a pork tenderloin, and brisket and some boneless skinless chicken breasts, doing my first Pork Butt on Saturday bright and early.

I got the smoking bug when my buddy Steve invited us to a competition to help him. He has a big tow behind smoker and I learned a lot those couple days. I definitely see why you all do what you do now!

We used to live in Woodbury when I worked in downtown St. Paul. We never did find any excellent bbq there, just the typical chain restaurants so making your own is the what to go!

Yeah I still try bbq places occasionally but that kind of takes the FUN out of it lol.
