From Long Beach California. Just found this forum searching for more info on smoking. Found some good info so I thought I would join. I have been smoking on and off for a while but still learning. I have 2 butts in the smoker waiting for the 190 mark… getting closer, just looked up at the wireless and it hit 188 on one and 187 on the other, so I have a little time. I also have some Italian sausages in also. I can smell them now, canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t you

BTW what is this OTBS stuff?

You will love this place. A great group to learn from. I am new to smoking and learning lots. Sounds like you have some experience. Will look forward to your pics and sharing info. I believe OTBS stands for Order of Thin Blue Smoke but I may stand corrected. You will get an answer soon from those in the know.

Welcome to SMF Rick in LB!!! Roo summed up the OTBS pretty well Rick. Here is a link to the post that pretty much started it. Basically, you participate in the forums, be helpful where you can, and an all around good forum member and someone will nominate you to the OTBS. Oh ya, we gotta see the thin blue pics w/ food porn. welcome to SMF, rick. i love italian sausage. i haven't smoked any yet though. i might saturday, along with the boston butt and beef shoulder roast.
