Hello from almost too hot to grill Florida!

    Got the bug a few months ago to go back to charcoal.  Been grilling with gas exclusively for the last 20 years. 

    Bought myself a Char-griller Pro Offset and realize I have been missing a lot.

    Fumbled my way through a few boston butts recently (turned out awesome despite the lack of knowledge on what I was doing) and also some turkey legs which also turned out pretty well.

    Found these forums and the wealth of knowledge here and decided to park.

    Looking forward to drooling over some more photos and maybe posting a few of my own.

  3. Welcome to SMF!! Hope you find many things to drool at and you provide some things for us to drool about. I sympathize with you on the heat. It's been so hot down here I am able to cut my charcoal quantity in half. and have a butt at 165 degrees in 2 hours and moistened by the humidity......LOL!

     First off welcome D Herloc to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are alot of really good folks that would just love to help you with anything to do with smoking.     then you will have a method to your newly found madness and believe me it will be a madness. Then when you start smoking things you will have to learn how to post the pictures / Qview

    Now the next thing you have to do is run out and get something to smoke. Then just smoke it and if you have any questions just post  them here and we will answer all your questions that you might have. Oh yea there's no stupid questions we were all there in the beginning and we just really like to help others enjoy the fabulous smoked foods that we do. So again

    Welcome to the HOTTEST smokin site around. With the mid 90s amd 100% humidity we've been having you have to be addicted to want to fire up the smoker.
