My name is Jarod and I live in Kalamazoo, MI. I just started smoking about a month ago. I have what i believe is a little chief electric smoker that i borrowed from gramps. I put a larger electric coil in it to bump temps up. So far i have smoked some salmon and lake trout, a couple of fatties, baby backs, and pork butts. I have a couiple of fatties and a pork picnic roast ready for tommorow morning

I am an aspiring unemployed teacher that has grown an addiction to salmon fishing. I also enjoy hunting and a lot of good eats!!! Time to let the smoke roll

Hi all,

I've decided to take the plunge and have many NU B type questions. I live in N.CA near the Delta and have read many of your posts with interest. I look forward to participating.

I will be buying a smoker soon. I note many of you speak favorably of the Great Outdoors "Big Block". I never see any advertised reference to "Big Block". Is that just automatically what you get when purchasing the Great Outdoors smoker or must one specify and search for the Big Block model when looking to buy?
Thanks in advance. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...icon_smile.gif
