First post for me, just became a member last week.

My buddy and I built a smoker last year for him it's 30"W X 20"D X 72" Tall, all stainless steel, works great!!

Now I picked up a old commercial frig,all stainless to make one for myself. It's about 60"W X 20"D X 72" Tall.

We like to do alot of sausage and snack sticks.

I also have a GMG pellet grill that I just love. I'm looking to add a smoke daddy to it for some extra smoke for doing smaller stuff like hams and chickens.

If any one has some ideas for heating or generating smoke for my big smoker I would like to hear them!  Always open to others ideas!

Welcome Mike from another guy in WI! Try the Smoker forum and you will find ideas about propane electric, just about what ever your looking for.

I have a AMNPS from A-mazem-smoker and it works great for me. They are one of the sponsors and have a link at the bottom of the page.

Thanks Woodcutter.

I have ben looking at the AMNPS as a option too.

Was also considering the big smoke daddy.

I'm looking at puting in a grill burner for heat source.

How long of a smoke time can you get out of your AMNPS?

Hi Mike,

Just my 2 cents worth, I tried a smoke Daddy, it works good, puts out a lot (and it's variable/adjustable, which is nice) , my only complaint was it's a pain in the but to clean.  gets full of crud that reminds me of my misspent youth, if ya know what I mean....  My AMAZN will burn for a good 6 hours, more than I need for most smokes.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "SMF User Guidelines" .....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per TulsaJeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

I've can get around 12 hours with it. They sell tube generators that work better in grills but I have no experience with them.
