Hello everyone, I live in Virginia and just got my first offset smoker (OC Brazos) and looking to learn everything I can.

Welcome from Missouri. I have an OC pecos I think you will enjoy feeding sticks to the beast and made some great bbq.

Welcome from Colorado. I also have a stick fed offset. Lots of options for tracking down sources of wood. Hopefully someone local to your area will chime in with ideas. Here it is mostly fruit wood that’s local and I use maple as a backbone wood. Local tree trimmers can be a good source.

Thank you! Where do you usually get your wood? I’m trying to find the right spot.
I sent you a private message with Bucks number. He does firewood, but has Oak and Hickory. I split and debark on my own, but 100 bucks goes a long way.
