Hello
I'm new to this forum and new to smoking!
As an upstate NY resident I do a lot of hunting and fishing and can't wait to start smoking some of this game. I'm also getting into sausage making, I don't have a smoker yet, still trying to decide. I would like it to run on natural gas, and be able to do the lower temps needed for sausage. Any suggestions?

Willyb, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here and looking to find the perfect smoker.  I can't help you with your natural gas questions, but folks in the Propane Smokers section should be a good source.

Have fun!

Welcome to SMF!

If you main goal is sausage then I would look into an electric smoker.

Gas smokers at very low temps tend to be unreliable, meaning the flame will go out a whole bunch of times while your smoking your sausage.

Just the smallest bit of wind will blow the flame out.
