I've lived in CT now for 13 years. Being from SC, I was spoiled with being able to get real pit BBQ and fried chicken any time I wanted. I've often told people that for every Deli or Pizza place in Connecticut there is a Barbecue joint or fried chicken place in South Carolina. It is a part of my up bringing to eat bbq on memorial day,4th of July and labor day.Since BBQ is hard to come by, I bought a smoker 3 years ago. I've done some experimenting and have had some luck.

Welome to the forum, and you can have BBQ anytime you want even in CT. Just go into your own backyard, Not going to find any better at any restaurant.
