Not sure if your saying that’s high. It’s boneless pork shoulder butt roast. I’m in central Virginia.

Just higher than I am used to. That said at Whole Foods perhaps that is a higher grade of pork as well. Either way it looks delicious. Looking forward to seeing the end results

That looks great! Here in beautiful N. Idaho I pay $1.87 per lb for Boston Butt not on sale, bone in or out. Search other stores in your area or a local butcher for their price.

Found it for $1.74 a lb at a big box store. Will get from there from now on.

If you happen to have any GFS stores near you look there. Even cheaper, the butts are of better quality and the even have boneless if that's what you need. That's the only place I buy mine and i sure buy a lot of the darn things!
