Great lookin grill, Always fun to learn a new grill. Just wondering did you look into the LSG version if so what was the deciding factor? I've been eyeballing it for awhile but they are a little pricy. I'll have to look into the HB a little more

Thanks Brother!

I did, in fact look at that El Patron by LSG. I thought they were pretty similar in function and capacity - the El Patron has a slightly larger cooking grate, but not by much. The deciding factors for me were about 3:

First, the HB retails for $600 less than the El Patron...plus, I got a 20% discount on the HB (so it cost me right at $1200 plus tax). Second, HB offers free shipping on all their cookers . It would have cost me another $550 to get the LSG cooker shipped to me. I didn't think the El Patron was $1450 better than the HB. And finally, since I live in NE Oklahoma, I've know of Hasty Bake Grills most of my life, and I've always like spending my money locally when I can. They've been built in Tulsa, OK since 1948. Although I chose to have them deliver it to me, I could have driven over to Tulsa and picked it up the same day I ordered it.
