Hasty bake 290 C vs 24X48 adjustable Gril/Smoker Which one to buy? Both seem to be very much alike. It seems like the Hasty bake comes with a bunch more features at the base price. The LSG will cost around 5K to do the same thing.

Howdy and welcome to the group from New Mexico.
I don't have either,
seenred seenred just got a HastyBake recently, not sure of the model.
Maybe he will see this.

Hello there and welcome to the forums!

As 02ebz06 02ebz06 said, I recently bought a Hasty Bake Legacy 131. It's smaller than that Hastings 290C you are looking at...but basically works the same. I like it very much, and am really enjoying how versatile it is. You mention that the comparable LSG model costs $5K...but I believe the regular price for that all-stainless Hastings model is pretty similar. Not sure where you live, but a big cost savings of the HB is that they offer free shipping inside the U.S. on all their grills and smokers. IMHO that would help make the HB a better buy for the money.

And keep in mind, if you've priced any HB in the last couple days, they are currently having a scratch and dent sale...don't know how long that lasts, but right now would be the time to save big dollars on that 290C. It is currently advertised for $3499, which is a huge savings off regular price. Plus, if you decide to go that way, send me a PM and I'll direct you towards a 10% off discount code.

Be sure to let us know what you decide to get! We all love admiring other guys' new cookers!

The 290 C is the Hastings, right? There’s a prominent BBQ restaurant in Tulsa (Burn Co.) that I believe uses the Hastings [@seenred might know].
They swear by them, and their BBQ is some of the best I’ve ever eaten.
I have the Hasty Bake Gourmet Pro [Model 258] and love mine. You can’t go wrong with a HB — a tried-and-true grill that makes great food, is fun to use, and will last.
I’m just about to wrap a brisket that I’ve been smoking all night on it 😁

The restaurant you mention is BurnCo Barbecue, and they are widely considered to be the best BBQ in Tulsa. They are proud to tell anyone that they cook all their meats in Hasty Bakes.
