Opened a bottle of the Super Tuscan wine I made with my Uncle in memory of him to commemorate his passing on his Birthday.

The wine is awesome also. I love Nebbiolo! Spent a few days in the Alba area and the Nebbiolo and Barolo are to die for.

Indeed! I am a big fan for a really good bottle of Barolo, but takes some age to really come into their prime. The tannins in a young Barolo can be so harsh they can pull the enamel off your teeth!! LOL!! Which is why I drink Langhe...no need to wait as long, still excellent wine!
 
In the Alba area they won’t touch a Barolo that’s less than 10 years old. It’s also the area where the truffles grow.
