My name is Steve, been learning how to smoke meats over the last year.  I have a Masterbuilt 7-in-1 smoker. My favorite so far has been a pork butt, I have done a complete of briskets, ribs, a turkey and multiple chicken breasts (all the women in my house love the chicken).  For Thanksgiving day  I have been requested to smoke two turkeys this year.  Last year we did one smoked and one traditional, the smoked turkey went in 10 minutes....

So has anyone smoked two turkey's at the same time, I was planning on smoking them at 300 for about 25 mins a pound, but was not sure if I need to adjust for two birds.

You might want to check out Jeff's Free 5 day E-course it will teach you all the basics and a whole lot more!

Instead of cooking to time it is best to cook to temperature, that's the best way to know when it's done and not overdone. Poultry should be finished at 165* in the breast and 175* in the thigh.

Hi Steve and welcome to the SMF.

It's good to have a fellow Virginian join up.  I'm actually only a few minutes away from you down in Prince George, Virginia.  Just East of Hopewell.

I hope you enjoy your experience here and don't forget to post pictures of your smoked creations!  We call it q-view and I have included a free sample below.

Hickory & cherry smoked chicken, bacon, and granny smith apple pizza with smoked gouda cheese.

Once again, welcome and have fun learning and smoking up some delicious eats!!
