Jim Bowie Green mountain Smoker problem

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong location, I have a 2013 Jim Bowie Green mountain Smoker S/N 119366 that most of the time when I go to turn the temperature up it shuts off(LED displays OFF) and it shuts down, I have to restart it and wait for it to go through the 1-2-3 steps and finally display a temperature then try again to raise the temperature up, sometimes it will take 2 trys to work but most of the time it's 5-6 trys and it fills the burner up with tons of pellets since I'm restarting it over and over. Any suggestions? Thanks
