Thanks for the tip...just tried to order one but the advertised price is now $38.++...which is still a great deal.
I was wondering if there was some kind of promo code for the lower price before I order mine.

Walt.

Im curious, wass there a promo code for the $19.99 price? I just checked your Amazon link and the advertised price is $38.++ now, which is still a pretty good deal and I'm going to order one...but cheaper is always better.

no it was some lightning deal promotion that I guess was only a limited time offer. I've read reviews that it is a VERY good knife and only reason I found it is my friend who's a chef sent me a text about it. I'm getting mine tomorrow in the mail so I'll let you guys know how it is! But I saw his and its amazing quality.

I saw a news story on TV this week about how Amazon and some other online vendors price based on your location (from your IP address) and the device type you are browsing on (PC vs mobile phone). Prices varied from city to city on the same item accessed via the same URL link based purely on the location. I've also seen it at work where one guy who was logged in under his prime account was seeing different prices that someone who was not.  Not sure if this applies here, but it was on the news.
